Wheat square chips machine is a turnkey, high-efficiency food processing system specially designed to manufacture square-shaped puffed or fried snack chips. Using modern food-technology equipment — including mixer, extruder, cutter, fryer, and flavoring machine — this production line delivers consistent, crispy, high-quality square chips at industrial scale.

1. Mixing
Raw materials (e.g., cereal flours, corn starch, potato starch, water, seasonings) are precisely blended in a mixer to create a homogeneous dough or slurry.
The mixing system often includes a screw conveyor to transport the blended mix to the extruder.
2. Extrusion
A twin-screw extruder is used to cook, knead, and pressurize the dough under controlled temperature and high pressure.
By changing the die/mold in the extruder, you can produce square-shape or other shapes (e.g., tubes, 2D flakes).
The working principle: the material is plasticized by shear and heat in the extruder, then rapidly expands when exiting through the die.
3.Shaping / Cutting
After extrusion, the semi-product is pulled and cut by a shaping (pulling & cutting) machine to form square sheets or tubes depending on the die.
Some lines also include a pattern or forming machine before cutting, enabling more complex “windowed” or lattice square shapes.
4. Drying (Optional)
Some production lines include a pre-drying or hot-air drying zone to reduce moisture before frying or further processing.
5. Frying
Continuous frying systems are used to crisp and expand the shaped chips.
After frying, excess oil is removed via a de-oiling stage (e.g., vibrating conveyor or de-oiler) to improve texture and shelf life.
6. Cooling
Once fried, the chips are cooled (e.g., on a cooling conveyor) to stabilize structure and reduce residual heat.
7. Flavoring / Seasoning
The cooled chips go through a flavoring drum or coating machine where seasoning (powder or liquid) is evenly applied.
The seasoning system is integrated and can be tuned for different flavors.
8.Packaging
After flavoring, the product is ready for packaging (weighing, bagging, sealing) — often integrated with the line or handled by downstream packaging machines
