Kurkure is a brand of corn puffs produced using specialized kurkure manufacturing machines. These snacks are made from a mix of cornmeal, edible vegetable oil (typically palm oil), gram meal, spices, condiments, salt, and sugar. The kurkure cheese puff making machine uses small corn particles (corn ballast) as the primary raw material. Inside the machine, the mixture is hydrated and processed within a concentric cavity formed by two brass plates—one stationary with grooves and the other rotating, equipped with 3-6 blades and grooves. The rotational action of the blades generates the required pressure and heat to gelatinize the ingredients at around 260°F (127°C).
