During this process, the fish food reaches temperatures exceeding 100°C within the extruder. When the heated fish food is pushed through the metal mold, it cools rapidly upon exposure to room temperature, causing the pellets to expand in size. This expansion results in a lightweight feed, allowing the pellets to float on water, making them ideal for fish farming.
